摘　　要：在广东较深刻的社会转型和变迁时期,退休老人社会适应问题更加显现。本文主要利用广州老年人口抽样调查资料和住养老院退休老人的访谈资料,分析评价了退休老人的社会适应状况。研究表明,退休老人社会适应总体状况一般,但不同类别的老人对不同内容层面的适应状况差异较大;应采取多样性的措施提高退休老人的社会适应能力。Based on the analysis of the census and survey data, this paper describes the population characteristics and social adaptation of retired old people in Guangdong. The findings show that the size of retired old people is growing rap while great changes in the structure of the retired population. On the other hand, the adaptation of the retired old is generally ok but great difference in different indicators. The actions taken to imorove the retired old＇s social adaptation should be accordingly based on these differences.
