摘　　要：介绍了参考咨询馆员的由来与发展,分析了参考咨询服务的内容和手段,指出参考咨询馆员在图书馆工作中主角地位的确立,是现代图书馆改革发展的趋势,也是图书馆优化人才知识结构、提高参考咨询服务质量强有力的措施。This paper introduces the origin and development of the reference librarian, analyzes on the contents and methods of the reference service, and points out that the establishment of the leading role position of the reference librarian is the trend of the reform and development of the modem library, and also is the powerful measure for optimizing the talent structure and improving the quality of reference service.
