基于语料库的非宾格动词被动化的原因分析——兼与HiroyukiOshita博士商榷

摘　　要：非宾格动词被动化是英语中介语的一个普遍现象,也是二语习得研究的一个热点问题。为了揭示这种错误的原因,研究者们已经开展了许多研究,提出了多个假说。但是,大多数研究都是使用实验环境下收集的诱导性数据,分析学习者自然产出的语言数据的研究很少。为了打破这种研究方法不均衡的现状,本研究效仿Oshita(2000)的方法,使用大型学习者语料库中的数据来分析非宾格动词被动化的原因。通过对中国英语学习者语料库的分析,发现被动化错误的主要原因是动词使役说,而不是Oshita支持的NP移位标记说。另外,被Oshita拒绝的母语迁移的“弱式”说也在一定程度上成立。Passivization of unaccusatives is a universal feature of the English interlanguage. Many studies have been carried out to investigate this error. Methodologically speaking, however, an overwhelming majority of these studies are based on elicited data yielded in experimental settings. Only a very limited few have exploited naturally occurring data. To solve this acute problem of methodological imbalance, this study adopts Oshita＇s （2000） corpus-based approach to examine the overpassivization issue. It finds that the lexical causativization account is the most plausible cause of most passive unaccusatives, thus reiecting the NP movement marker analysis advocated by Oshita. It also finds that L1 transfer might contribute indirectly to the overpassivization errors committed by Chinese EFL learners.
