摘　　要：长期以来我国外语界编写出版了不少外语教材。但未能很好地将编写实践和经验提升到理论上来，以致有关外语教材编写和评价的论著寥寥无几。笔者在本文中分析了造成上述情况的原因，指出教材编写涉及的几个方面，提出目前亟须研究的几个课题，期待在外语界的共同努力下构建成科学的、系统的、完整的、具有中国特色的外语教材编写理论和评价体系。For a long period of time, our country has witnessed the compilation of a number of foreign language textbooks. Yet there have been few discussions or evaluations that could well summarize and theorize the accumulated compilation practice and experience. This paper analyzes the major reasons to the aforementioned situation, outlining the different aspects involved in textbook compiling, and pointing out the several topics that call for immediate attention, so as to establish a scientific, systematic and comprehensive framework catering for the theorization and evaluation of China＇s foreign language textbook compilation.
