摘  要:建设社会主义新农村是我国现代化进程中的重大历史任务,县域经济发展和新农村建设赋予远程教育新使命。广播电视大学作为我国远程教育的专业体系,在服务农村发展方面,形成了功能优势。新时期中国远程教育应实现功能定位、实施主体、平台支持等三大战略的调整,并按照“发展开放教育、强化职业教育、拓展技能培训”的思路,依托县镇社区,服务新农村建设和县域人力资源开发的需求,增强社会和谐基础。It is a significant historical task to construct socialistic new countryside in the course of our modernizations. The county-area economic development and construction of new countryside endows distance education with new mission. Radio & TV universities, as professional system of distance education within the country, has formed functional advantages in serving rural development and further on accumulated basis to serve construction of new countryside. In order to increase the overall development capacity of distance education and competence of international competition, this article suggests three adjustments for China Radio & TV Universities in realizing function orientations from the point of adapting the trend of international distance education development and the need of China education development: adjustment of service-focus and development focus; adjustment from management system to entity in running school; adjustment from service system to supporting system.On the basis of that, the authors hold such views that in accordance with the train of thoughts 'developing open education, strengthening vocational education and extending skill training', we need to depend on township communities to offer various kinds of education and training to serve county-area economic development and construct new countryside, which is the strategic choice of innovative development of distance education.
