西方大学教授治校的内涵及其合法性分析

摘　　要：“教授治校”是西方大学的一种传统管理模式和管理理念。它形成于中世纪大学,在近千年的发展演进过程中,教授治校的形式和程度在不同历史时期有不同的表现,但其基本内涵没有变,这是大学的本质特性决定的。现代大学对教授治校传统的“弱化”甚至“异化”现象亟须我们把握教授治校的实质内涵,分析其存在、变革的合法性和现实局限性,只有这样才能更好地在现代大学中继承这一传统。University management by professors is a kind of traditional managing mode and concept. It came into being in the middle ages universities. Its basic connotation did not change all through about one thousand years, which was decided by the essence of universities, though it had different patterns and extents in different periods. The weakening and alienation of the tradition in modem times urge us to grasp its connotation, analyze its existence and legitimacy and limitation of its reform. Only by doing so can we better inherit the tradition in modern universities.
