摘　　要：艾略特无可比拟的“对当代诗歌作出的卓越贡献和所起的先锋作用”是以其诗作中所蕴涵的中西诗学传统为根基的。西方文学的叙事传统和中国诗歌的简约风格珠联璧合,使其诗作既具有了深厚的历史积淀,又具有了鲜明的时代特征,从而产生了深远的影响力。Eliot made a remarkable and incomparable contribution to the contemporary poetry. What is more , the achievements are based on the narrative tradition of western literature and the simple style of Chinese poetry in his poems. Because the two perfectly match, his works not only have the deep historical factors but also the sharp characters of the period. So his poems had a profound influence on the poetry.
