REGENERATION OF FOLDED RIGHT FRAGMENT AND THE FOR-MATION OF CILIARY PATTERN IN STYLONYCHIA

摘  要:应用切割嫁接方法获得的棘尾虫完全对折和部分对拆右纵断片都经历了一面调整极性、一面再生和形态发生的过程。推测这两种断片在纤毛模式形成中发生的诸多现象可能与所在断片再生时的极性调整变化状态有关。By means of cutting and grafting, fully folded and partly folded right fragments of Sty-lonychia mytilus were obtained. Most of the fully folded right fragments developed two sets (or nearly two sets) of ciliary organelles. During morphogenesis, AZMP and UMP appeared at (or near) the folded region. After both the left and right primordia were formed, they moved in different directions. The result indicated that the right AZMP (together with their anterior old membranelles of AZM) and UMP evolved into anterior AZM and UM, the left AZMP and UMP evolved into posterior AZM and UM respectively. After longitudinal arrangement of right FVTP, they evolved anterior FVT; but for left FVTP, arranged transversely (sometimes with sub-normal primordia number) at first, then distant migrated direc-tionally, evolved into posterior FVT eventually. For LMCP, sub-normal primordia number appeared during development, or, uneven distribution to its future daughter cells. For partly folded right fragments, a set of ciliary organelles were produced. Among them, kinetosomes of AZMP and UMP proliferated, and their abnormal positioning often observed. In FVTP region, often overnormal numbers of primordia rows were observed. Also, abnormal developments of LMCP were observed. In this work, the two above mentioned fragments were going through their polarity regulation during their regeneration and morphogenesis, and formed one or two singlets of Stylonychia mytilus, at last. It might be concluded from these observations that these phenomena are relatel to the state of polar regulation of the fragments. Also, the old ciliary structures plays certain roles to the formation of ciliary patterns.
