摘　　要：创新型人才是构建创新型国家的中坚力量,培养学生的创新能力是高校素质教育的核心内容。本文对制革行业的特点和行业对人才的要求进行了简单的分析,并对新形势下如何推进素质教育,培养皮革行业创新型人才提出了具体建议。A Creativity- Oriented Nation can be achieved greatly by creative talents. The cultivation of individual innovative ability is nucleus of quality education in university. The characteristic of leather industry and it＇s urgently demand for undergraduate potential ability are analyzed in this paper. Practical suggestion of how to improve quality education and cultivate creative talents is discussed lastly.
