摘 要:类典型及基本层次范畴理论对英语词汇教学带来了启示。与传统的范畴理论相比,类典型理论对语言现象具有更强的阐释力和实用性。本文分别用基本层次范畴的角度,隐喻,及域的概念对英语词汇教学进行了论述,指出该理论对我们进行积极的词汇教学有着重要意义。The Theory of Prototypes and Basic-level Categories inspires us in the vocabulary learning and teaching. It is more interpretative and practical than traditional Category theory. The author of this paper expounds that vocabulary leaning and teaching would process well under the guidance of basic-level category, metaphor or the concept of domain .At the same time, the author points out that The Theory of Prototypes and Basic-level Category is essential to active language learning and teaching.
