摘  要:英语阅读策略是英语学习策略的组成部分,是提高学生的英语阅读兴趣和阅读能力、增强学习自信心的重要手段。英语阅读教学活动,要重视将现代英语阅读理论应用于课堂内外的学习活动,观察学生的阅读习惯,比较他们现有阅读能力与课程要求的差距,找出造成差距的原因,实施更适合、更有效的技巧阅读法,提高整体的阅读能力。English reading strategies arc a part of English study strategies. They arc the keys that develop students' reading interests, improve their competence of reading English, and enhance their confidence of studying English. Therefore, it requires teachers to lay stress on applying the modern English reading theories to teaching and learning activities of English reading. In the reading process of students, teachers should watch the reading habits of their students, compare their reading abilities with the requirements of the syllabus, and find out the causes of the differences. Thus teachers can bring into effect the more efficient skill-based reading approaches so as to improve the English reading competence of their students.
