中国人名用字特征的调查——以福建东游人为例

摘　　要：人名是一种社会现象,也是一种语言现象。本文以福建省建瓯市东游镇的将近4万镇民的人名为样本,对其人名命名行为的用字特征,作了穷尽性的田野调查。调查发现,人名用字的选择具有不约而同的趋同性,有些人名用字的使用频率太高,同时人名用字应注意低频字和生僻字问题,并且人名用字的频率和日常生活用字的频率不是简单重合的。由此,文中对命名者和语言学研究机构提出了可行性建议。Name is a kind of social as well as linguistic phenomenon. This essay makes a full grass-root investigation, based on the name samples of some 40,000 people in Dongyou Town of Jian＇ou, Fujian, on the characteristics of their name wording. It is shown that there is a tendency towards convergence among the choices of their name wording. It is true that many people share the identical word characters too often .Meanwhile, the name wording should also be careful about low-frequency words and rare words. And the range of the name wording does not simply overlap that of daily- life word- ing. So, in the essay the author puts forward available suggestions for the people giving a name and linguistics research institutes.
