摘　　要：廉斯·田纳西的代表剧作——《热铁皮屋顶上的猫》的主题思想多重且深邃,剧中人物的个性、行为体现了经济利益对家庭关系、婚姻状况和人性的影响。同时通过微观——“猫咪”一家人再现了资本主义上流社会人性的虚伪与贪婪,以及唯利是图、尔虞我诈的人际关系。Williams Tennessee＇ s masterpiece Cat On A Hot Tin Roof has complicated themes, in addition, it can be explained by the characters. The personalities and behaviors of characters reveal money＇ s effect on marriage, human relationship and human quality. Meanwhile, through ＂cat＂ Maggie＇s family, Tennessee reflects the hypocrisy and greed, and false relationship in the upper class.
