摘  要:In China, there exists a tendency that university students exert themselves to vocabulary accumulation during the process of English language learning or acquisition. The opposite phenomenon is that they seldom attach importance to grammar mastery, which brings the result that errors frequently appear in their sentence construction when they speak and write in English. By depicting the differences between Chinese and English with an emphasis on their grammatical differences, this paper analyzes and classifies the common errors in spoken and written English caused by Chinese university students' lack of English grammatical knowledge. Its aim is to arouse their awareness of the importance of English grammatical knowledge and advise them to place grammar mastery at a position as important as vocabulary accumulation.
