摘　　要：Web上有大量的图像数据,为了提高这些图像数据的利用率,需要研究适应Web特点的图像检索技术。将对象技术应用到Web上的图像数据,提出了一个面向图像的Web对象模型,增强了图像文件的结构性。根据该对象模型构造的检索系统可以对分布在Web上的图像进行基于语义信息的检索。The World Wide Web is an increasingly important image source-thus, efficient and effective techniques to retrieve Web image need to be developed. In this paper, a Web image object is built to extend the Web＇s expressive power and value, and to meet the specific requirements of semantic-based image retrieval. By this way, the image retrieval and other semantic-based operation performed in a structured way with images anywhere on the Web.
