摘　　要：经过四个发展阶段,英语已经成为世界通用语。作者通过对英语词汇的研究不仅表明英语词汇量庞大,词汇成分复杂,借词来源广泛,而且揭示出英语词汇的运用表现出明显的同一性特征和趋势,说明英语作为全球化的工具正在促进世界文化的融合和地区差异的减少。The paper reveals the globalization tendency and lexical identity of English by studying the application of English vocabulary. It holds that the international tool is promoting the amalgamation of the world culture and reducing the regional differences.
