摘　　要：“四面八方”政策是依据新中国建立前夕的国情所制定的一项经济政策,它的提出和实践有着重大的战略意义,并对今天和谐社会的建设有着现实意义。它调动了各方积极性,促进了国民经济的恢复和发展;是整个经济恢复时期的指导方针,是战略和策略密切结合的典范;它促进了社会的整体和谐,为中国特色社会主义奠定了雏形。＂Four Relations＂ was an economic policy established according to the national conditions on the eve of New China＇s foundation. It brought every side＇s initiative into play and promoted the recovery and development of the national economy. It was the guiding principle and a good example of close combining strategies with tactics. It improved the harmony of the whole society and built up a foundation for socialism with Chinese characteristics. It is also of great significance to today＇s construction of harmonious society,
