摘　　要：现代远程教育教学是现代信息技术与教育技术的完美融合,是学习型社会开放、灵活的一种新型教学模式。基于流媒体技术的现代远程教学系统弥补了远程教育中多媒体信息传输的诸多不足。文章介绍了现代远程教育的相关概念和流媒体技术的相关知识,给出了基于流媒体技术的现代远程教育教学系统设计基本框架,展示了基于流媒体支持下远程教学发展趋势。Modern distance education is a harmonious blend of modem IT and education technology and a new type education of learning society. Streaming media - based modem distance teaching system makes up of the deficiency of media information transmission in distance education. This paper introduces corresponding key points of distance education and some knowledge of streaming media. Meanwhile, it puts forward a framework of modem distance teaching system and displays the devdopment tendency of streaming media- based distance teaching.
