训诂材料的分析与汉语学术史的研究——《<周礼>复音词郑玄注研究》序

摘　　要：传统语言文字学是以解读文献语义为实用目的而展开的,其成果大都包含在随文释义的训诂材料中。现代研究汉语言文字学的历史,无论是通史还是专科史,都应该重视历代传衍的训诂材料。分析训诂材料,需要了解古代注释的体例,以“训条”为单位,确定其训释对象、训释目的、训释内容和训释方式。“训释方式”不同于“训诂方法”,也不同于“训条”之间的关系。一般把“形训”、“声训”、“互训”、“反训”、“递训”等看作训释方式,值得商榷。利用训诂材料来研究汉语学术史大有作为．《<周礼>复音词郑玄注研究》是一个例子。该书通过对郑玄注释的全面分析,总结了古人研究复音词的经验和注释复音词的特点,为汉语词汇学和注释学提供了历史性成果。The practical purpose of traditional Chinese linguistics and Chinese philology is to interpret meaning of ancient Chinese literature and most of its research results exist in traditional explanatory notes. The research on history of Chinese and Chinese characters, both general history and specialized history, should all pay more attention to the traditional explanatory notes carried on through the ages. Analysis of the traditional explanatory notes should rely on familiarity with its style and cleating on the targct,purpose, content and way of explanation,and pursuing research by explanation pieces. Way of explanation is different from both method of explanation and the relation between different explanation pieces. The opinion in general should be questioned which regarded Xingxun method to finding out meaning of words through character form）, Shengxun method to finding out meaning of words through phonation）, Huxun relationship botween two pieces of explanation and one piece of which its explaining part is the explaining target of another and vice versa. ） and Dixun relationship among three or more pieces of explanation and either one piece of which its explaining part is one explaining target of them but there is no same explaining part among them. ）as ways of explanation. The book A Research on Zhengxuan＇s Annotation to Disyllabic Words in Zhouli has made a good example of research academic history of Chinese through analysis of traditional explanatory notes, and which has also summarized the ancients＇ some experiences of researching on Disyllabic Words and their regular explaining patterns of Disyllabic Words through overall analysis of zhengxuan＇s explanatory Notes, and which has also made historic contribution to Chinese lexicology and annotafionology.
