“歧路”的意象内涵与译文的信度——谈弗洛斯特的诗歌“The Road Not Taken”

摘　　要：由于中西文化背景的差异,中外诗人对"歧路"的意象内涵有着不同的理解。顾子欣先生深受"中国式"理解的影响而有了对弗洛斯特"The Road Not Taken"与众不同的翻译。文章通过探讨这种翻译背后的原因,强调诗歌翻译必须基于创作背景以达到忠实原文的重要性。Chinese and foreign poets have different understanding to connotation of the image ＂crossroad＂ due to their different cultural context. Deeply influenced by Chinese understanding to ＂crossroad＂ ,Mr. Gu Zixin has his extraordinary translation to Robert Frost＇s The Road Not Taken. This paper discusses the reason of Gu＇ s translation and emphasizes the importance of faithful translation to poetry based on the creation background.
