摘　　要：在中国历史上,孟子在宋代以前的地位一直隐而不显,他的地位甚至不及周公、颜回,至多与荀子比肩齐名,然而到了宋代,一场声势浩大的孟子升格运动从此确定了孟子在中国历史上的地位。原因之一,就是孟子为宋代儒学走出困境、完成儒学的转型,不仅提供了思想资源,而且提供了方法的支持。The Mencius status promotion movement had determined Mencius place in Chinese history. The important rea-son why Mencius status was promoted in Song Dynasty was that Mencius had provided the thought resources and the method support for the Song Dynasty Confucianism extricating from the difficult position and completing Confucianism reforming.
