摘　　要：统一建模语言(UML)是一种通用的面向对象的可视化建模语言,他总结了以往建模技术的经验,并吸收当今优秀研究成果,形成了标准建模方法.使用UML的建模工具Rational Rose可以快速建立系统的业务模型,并深入进行系统类和数据库的设计,为软件开发提供了一套可行的标准化方法。结合档案管理系统的设计,探讨UML在MIS系统开发中的应用。Unified Modeling Language （UML） is an universal object- orient visual modeling language. It summarizes the former experiences of modeling technology and assimilates the excellent researching achievements in nowadays. The programmer can establish business model quickly and design the system classes and the database accurately by using Rational Rose. UML provides some feasible standard methods for software development. This article discusses some applications of UML in the development of management information system. An example of archive management system is described.
