论修道院成为西欧中世纪早期文化中心的原因

摘　　要：修道院在西方文明发展的历史长河中曾扮演过重要角色。作为一个宗教组织,修道院担当起当时某些社会职能,在中世纪早期占据了文化中心的地位。究其原因,修道院有着自身的多种优势;在经济上,修道院推广生产技术,积极垦荒,组织劳动;在政治上,修道院获得了来自教俗两方面的支持。The monastery once plays an important part in the history of the western civilization development. As a religious organization, the monastery took on at that time certain social functions, occupied the cultural center status in the middle ages early time. To investigate its reason, the monastery has its own superiorities. From the aspect of economy, the monastery promotes production technologies, positively reclaims wasteland and organizes work; from the aspect of politics, the monastery obtained supports from both the church and the common custom.
