Objective To explore the application and clinical curative effects of toroid continous interlocking suture in fresh amniotic membrane grafting. Methods 45 patients who would be treated with fresh amniotic membrane grafting were divided into study group ( n = 23 ) with toroid continuous interloclong suture and control group( n = 22) with interrupted suture. After following up for 3 -6 months, amnio - implants and restoration of raw surface were compared between the 2 groups. Results Within 3 weeks, patients whose amnion autotomy were 3 in the study group and 11 in the control group. There was significant difference between the two groups ( P 〈 0.05 ) ; after the operation, patients whose amnion complete remaining for more than 3 weeks were 14 in the study group and 6 in the control group, which showed statistically significant difference( P 〈 0.05 ) ; after operation, patients whose raw surface not yet restored were 5 in the research group and 3 in the control group, which showed no statistical significance ( P 〉 0.05 ). Conclusion Toroid eontinous interlocking suture can make amniou fixedly sticking to raw surface, extend persistenee time of amnion on eye,and its irritations are milder that are good for ocular - surface tissue restoration.
