Objective: To study the level of motilin on the children suffering from cerebrovascular disease. Methods: To select 62 children of cerebrovascular disease, including cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral block and subarachnoid hemorrhage, considering them as the observation group. To detect the levels of motilin 24 hours, 7 days, 15 days during the course of the disease respectively, comparing to the control group of 59 normal healthy children. Results : The levels of motilin in the oberservation group were higher than the control group ( P 〈 0. 01 ). The levels of motilin in cerebrovascular disease children who have digestive tract symptoms were higher than the levels of those who have not digestive tract symptoms. The levels of motilin of the children who had high blood sugar were more increased than those the blood sugar was nomal. The levels of those who were coma or died were higher than those who were awareness or alive. Conclusion: The children suffering from cerebrovascular disease had a long time increase in motilin, motilin is an index to value the degree of the severity.
