Objective:To study the different spiral CT angiographic image reconstruction techniques on the diagnosis of cerebral aneurysms, so as to improve the ability of examination and diagnosis in head CTA. Methods:31 cases, who were referred into our hospital conceming cerebral vascular diseases, were subjucted to GE Light Speed 16 slice and PHILIPS Brilliance 16 slice helical CT under the conditions of Pitch: 0.5- 1.3, slice thickness: 0.625- 1.25 nun. Reconstruction images were processed at GE adw4.2 workstation. VR,MIP, CPR and SSD were used as post-processing techniques of CT anglography. We compared the CTA diagnosis results with VR, MIP, CPR, and SSD.Results:Among thirty-one cases, 33 aneurysms appeared in fotal. The VR and MIP discovered 32 aneurysms, the SSD discovered 30 cases, and the CPR discovered 29 cases. Any aneurysm with a diameter less than 3 nun was not discovered. Conclusion:VR and MIP are the best of the three image post-processing techniques(VR,MIP, CPR and SSD) of CTA .But the CPR and SSD have certain disadvantages, which need to be researched further.
