摘　　要：培养阅读能力是大学英语教学中一个很重要的方面.能阅读英文报刊是大学英语教学的主要目标之一,而实现该目标的最佳途径之一是通过阅读英文报纸来完成.探讨和研究了读报与培养阅读能力的关系,强调了读报对培养阅读能力的重要作用.The cultivation of reading ability is one of the important aspects in college English teaching. Being able to read English newspapers is one of major goals of college English teaching. One of the best ways to realize the goal is through reading English newspaper itself. Exploration of and research into the relationship between English newspaper reading and the cultivation of reading abilities and stress on the impact of paper reading on reading ability cultivation are of significance.
