摘　　要：视频图像格式转换技术是当今信息领域的研究热点之一,针对发光显示设备普遍存在的由于gamma特性(非线性)造成的图像失真进行了分析,对比几种常用的gamma校正方法,分析了模拟电路和数字电路进行gamma校正的优缺点,提出了查找表和直线拟合相结合的校正方法。在保证图像质量的情况下,节省了一定数量的硬件资源,有利于系统实现低功耗设计。该设计方法应用于视频格式转换芯片取得了良好的效果,满足了系统的要求。Video Format-conversion Chips technology is one of the hot subject in today＇s information field. Image distortion caused by Gamma characteristic which is broadly exist in most display equipment was analyzed. By contrasting some conventional Gamma correction methods and comparing the merits and demerits of Gamma correction for both analog and digital circuits, a new correction method by combining lookup table and straight line fitting is put forward here. The results shows this method can effectively save amount of hardware resources and also be beneficial to realize low power design while the image quality can also be guaranteed. Good performance achieved when applying this methods to video format convert chip, and it can satisfy the systematic requirements at the same time.
