Some Considerations about the Offering of Generally Recognized Courses of the Humanities and Social Sciences Category for Undergraduates of Regular Course at Universities of Science and Technology

摘  要:人文社科类通识课程的设置与教学内容应该做到"少、精、全"相结合,应该尽可能做到所设计的"课程模块"的内容既没有交叉重复,又没有重要的缺漏。课程体系与教学内容的设计规划要贯彻递进性的原则,对每一类课程都应该按照"贯穿整个大学时代"的思路从教学内容与教学形式、教学环节、时间分布等方面作精心的设计与规划。为此,应该建立起由三种规划的有机结合构成的三维系统框架:一是全面而又不交叉重复的内容规划(先设置若干课程模块,再把每一模块下的课程分为"原理与分支"、"历史与学派"、"经典研读"、"论文撰写"四种类型);二是各种教育、训练"方式、途径"相互配合的形式规划;三是本科四年不断线,年年有提高的"与层次、水平的递进相同步"的时间规划(第一年"原理与分支",第二年"学派与历史",第三年"名著研读",第四年每一模块写一篇研究论文)。With the offering and teaching content of recognized courses of the humanities and social sciences category, it is necessary to realize the combination of "fewer, better and complete" and make as much as possible the content of the "course module" designed free of not only crossing and repetition but also significant omissions. The design and plan- ning of the course system and teaching content should be made on the principle of successive nature. The courses of each category should be elaborately designed and planned in the aspects of teaching content, form, link, time distribution, etc. following the idea of "passing through the entire university period". In doing so, it is mandatory to build a three-di- mension system framework formed of the organic combination of three plans. The first is the content plan that is compre- hensive but free from crossing and repetitions. This means that several course modules are first built and the courses un- der each module are separated into four categories such as "theories and branches" , "history and academic schools" , " classics study and reading" , and "paper writing". The second is the plan of the form of coordination of various "forms and ways" of education and training. The third is the time plan that features synchronization of the successive progress of layer and level with four-year continuation and yearly enhancement. This implies that the first year is for " "theories and branches" ; the second year is for "history and academic schools" ; the third year is for " classics study and reading", and the fourth year is for "paper writing".
