《代数学》和《代数术》中的术语翻译规则

摘　　要：近代早期的科技翻译呈现很大的特殊性.在数学术语翻译过程中,李善兰和伟烈亚力翻译的《代数学》、华蘅芳和傅兰雅翻译的《代数术》,探索和遵循了一些术语翻译规则.通过分析史料,发现主要有沿用传统术语、旧词新用以及创译新词等术语翻译规则,这些翻译规则对近代科技翻译特别是数学术语的翻译产生了重要的影响.There are many specific characteristics during the course of scientific translation in the early modern China. The main translators, Li Shanlan,Alexander Wylie, H uang Hengfang and John Fryer among others explored and followed some rules and methods of terminology translation. By analyzing the materials, we can know these rules and methods mainly include three categories：direct adoption of traditional terminology,addition of more meanings to old terms,and creation of new words. All these rules and methods had played an important role to the science and technology translation in modern China.
