摘　　要：本文以北京外国语大学网络教育学院(简称"北外网院")为例,探讨了远程教育在我国成人英语教学中的运用。The differences in age, language proficiency and time invested in learning often render the teachers unable to efficiently organize the adult English class. It is already hard to solve such fundamental problems within the traditional English educational framework. The Internet- based distance learning mode has evolved very fast in recent years and opened a new horizon for the reform of adult English education. This paper addresses this interesting issue by analyzing the case of the Net School of the Bejing University of Foreign Studies.
