“民可使由之不可使知之”新释

摘　　要：《论语.泰伯》中的"民可使由之不可使知之"一语,是研究孔子对于君民关系思想的重要篇章。但是此语太短,又失却具体语境,历来得不到很好的解释。在新出郭店简《尊德义》篇中有"民可使道之而不可使知之"一语与其相近,已经有不少学者进行了研究。根据学界的最新研究成果,结合笔者对于《尊德义》所作考释、研究,可以认为《论语.泰伯》篇中"民可使由之不可使知之"的含义为"民可使导之,不可使管之"。In the Taibo of the Analects,Confucius said the people can be lead but can not be controlled, which is an important chapter about Confucius＇ viewpoint of the relationship between gentlemen and the people. But the sentence has no good commentary all the while for it is very short and has lost the context. In the Zundeyi of the newly unearthed Guodian Chu Bamboo Slips,there is a sentence is close to the chapter, and some people have researched it. However, some interprets have not taken the contexts into account. According to the latest research fruits, the paper will give a new explain to the chapter after make the context of Zundeyi clear.
