摘　　要：辜鸿铭是中国近现代文化怪杰,他虽然与美国新人文主义倡导者白璧德没有直接联系,但其思想观念却与之多有契合,尤其是他的道德人文观念。辜鸿铭论述的话题相当广泛,涉及到民族、宗教、政治、军事,但所有这些话题都可能在他的阐论中归趣于道德,道德教化是辜鸿铭成了他言论的一个核心,面对现代潮流强调传统道德教化成了他与新人文主义之间的一个可靠的联结点。他乐于从道德出发思考政治,言说政治,而且在一些具体的事件上也是以道德判断代替并干扰政治判断,结果所得出的结论具有明显的偏差甚至显得极为乖谬。Gu Hongming connection with Bai Bide, is a monstre sacr, in modern Chinese culture. Although he does not have any direct an advocate of American neo-humanism, his idea is similar to that of the later in many aspects, especially his idea of moral humanism. Gu Hongming＇ s topics are very extensive, involving nationality, religion, politics, and military which may be all ascribed to morality in his expatiation.Moralization is a kernel to his ana and the emphasis on the traditional moralization has become a reliable linkage with neo-humanism. He is ready to discuss and think about politics from the perspective of moral and sometimes substitute political judgment with moral judgment which may result in great deviated or even very absurd conclusions.
