摘　　要：英文写作是英语教学中的一个薄弱环节,它在教与学两方面都存在着许多问题。提高学生的英文写作水平应采取的措施有:强化文化对比意识,学会用英语思维;强化文章总体意识,学会遣词造句、谋篇布局等。English writing is one of the weakest link in English teaching. The article analyzes the existing problems with teaching and learning. Moreover, we latmch the teaching action research and advance the following strategies to raise the learner＇s English writing competence： strengthening the awareness of cultural comparison to learn English thinking pattern, enhancing the awareness of overall structure, studying choice of wording ＆ phrasing and learning to map out the composition.
