(Activity of Daily Life,ADL)。 Abstract Objective To investigate the effects of partial body weight support treadmill training in hemiplegia in stroke. Methods 98 strokes were randomly assigned into 2 groups to receive partial body weight support treadmill training and normal rehabilitation therapy (48 cases), or only normal rehabilitation therapy (50 cases).Clirfical assessments included Fugl-Meyer scale, Functional Ambulation Category (FAC), and Activity of Daily Life (Barthel index) was performed before treatment and at i, 2 months after treatment. Results When comparing with the results before treatment, the improvement of motor function (Fugl-Meyer),walking (FAC) and activity of daily life (Barthel index) was statistically significant after 1,2 months of treatment (P〈0.05). Conclusion Partial body weight support treadmill training in combination with normal reha- bilitation therapy was more effective than normal rehabilitation therapy only in terms of improving functional performance in motor function, walking and activity of daily life on the patients of stroke with hemiplegia.
