摘　　要：城市宜居性与安全性是当前国际国内城市居民和政府密切关注的焦点问题,分析该领域方向研究进展,探讨宜居城市的理论系统构建,具有重要价值。从三方面开展研究。首先,分析了国际城市宜居研究进展,主要综述了西方宜居城市研究和联合国人居环境署的工作方向;其次,重点分析我国城市宜居性研究的兴起,一方面我国参与联合国人居环境奖申报和我国人居环境奖评定促进了我国宜居城市建设探索,另一方面人居环境科学的兴起为宜居城市提供了理论基础;第三,分析我国城市宜居性的挑战与理论建设的方向。Nowadays, oversea and domestic citizens and governments focus on the livability and security in city. It is worthwhile to analyze the research advancement on this field and to discuss the construction of livable city＇s theory system. This article has three parts to discuss this issue. The first part analyzes the research advancement of international livable city, mainly summing up the research direction in Western livable city and UNEP＇s work. The second part pays attention to the research origin of the livable city in china. Because of the declaration and assessment on the Best Practice and Local Leadership Program, the practice of livable city construction makes progresses. On the other hand ,the article discusses the origin and development of human habitat theory. Thirdly, it analyzes the challenges and theory construction of livability in Chinese cities.
