摘　　要：应用数据库技术与地理信息系统技术,建立了包括土地资源、水资源、森林资源、草地资源等综合信息的、具有统一标准和规范的西部十省区(新疆、青海、甘肃、宁夏、陕西、四川、重庆、云南、贵州、西藏)基础资源数据库,论述了数据库设计、数据安全机制及数据查询功能设计。On the basis of DBMS and WebGIS, the integrated attribute databases for ten provinces m westren China, including Xinjiang Autonmous Region, Qinghai Province, Gansu Province, Ningxia Autonmous Region, Shaanxi Province, Sichuan Province, Chongqing Mumicipality, Yunnan Province, Guizhou Province and Xizang Autonmous Region, were built with the unified criteria and standards. The databases contain basic information of soil resources, water resources, forest resources and grass resources. Security mechanism, design of the database architecture and searching interface of the system were mainly discussed in this article.
