英语变化的社会因素研究

摘　　要：语言变化无时不在,这种变化虽然有时被指责为语言的退化,却也不可避免。影响英语变化的因素大体可分为内部因素、社会因素和认知因素。本文通过研究英语从古英语发展为当代英语的历史,探索引起变化的社会原因,主要包括:语言接触与分离、权力更替、对时尚的追求和科技进步等四个方面,以期更加深入地了解英语、成功交际。Language,including English,is undergoing constant change,which is inevitable against many people＇s will. Generally speaking, the reasons of English change fall into three interrelated types, concerning internal factors, social factors and cognitive factors. In view of the mutual influence between linguistic structures and social factors ,this essay contributes most of its efforts to the social factors of English change, including language contact, shift of power, pursuit of fashion, and development of new technology, with the purpose of better understanding of English and its appropriate use.
