摘　　要：远程教育的发展在于自主创新。在世界远程教育的发展中,凡是远程教育取得成功的国家,都是自主创新的结果。中国远程教育也是在自主创新中发展起来的。但是,中国远程教育与世界发达国家相比,在创新发展方面还存在一定的差距。中国远程教育只有坚持自主创新,才能跟上世界远程教育发展的大趋势。The article concerns the subject of independent innovation in distance education which has been verified by experienced distance education institutes in other parts of the world. It discusses Chinese deficiency in this aspect and argues that independent innovation is the development trend of distance education in China.
