摘　　要：在英国历史上,有许多充满矛盾的思想者和史学家。休谟正是以伟大传统的历史意识、多元融合的政治思想和温和渐进的发展方式中蕴涵着许多现代的、主流的和暴力的思想因素而引起人们的关注。因此,如何看待休谟的历史观直接影响人们对英国文明历史进程的理解方式,同时也为我们吸收西方历史思想中的有效因子,建设中国和谐社会提供重要的参照系。There are many historians who were filled with the contradictions in the British history. Hume’s views that geniality gradually develops form pluralistic political thoughts and great traditional history consciousness, which contain many modern and essential thoughts. The direction of Hume’s historical view influenced people’s method of comprehension in the British civilization historical process. The author also absorbs the valid factors from western historical thoughts for us, in order to construct the Chinese harmonious society.
