摘 要:人种学作为质性研究方法的源头,在20世纪80年代后期开始进入我国教育研究界,但一直遭到质疑。然而,它在西方却被视为教育研究的最好的甚至是唯一的方法。通过对人种学方法特质及其对教育研究影响的考察,可以发现,美国著名哲学家杜威所主张的教育研究方法,已经契合人种学方法要旨。人种学虽非教育的唯一方法,但却是教育研究的一种根本方法。Qualitative research methodology originated from ethnology, which was introduced into the field of education research in china in the late 1980s but has always been regarded as questionable. However, in the West, ethnology is regarded as the best or even the only way to conduct education research. Through a systematic review of the methodological characteristics of ethnology and their influence on education research, this paper concludes that the methodology which the famous American scholar John Dewey advocated for education research was consistent with the tenets of ethnological methodology. It is, however, argued that while ethnology may not be the only way to conduct education research it is definitely a fundamental way.
