摘　　要：从矢量量化的特点和码本设计方法出发,探讨MatLab在矢量量化中的应用,利用MatLab编程实现图像矢量量化,并给出了程序运行结果,通过对运行结果进一步分析,效果良好,为图像矢量量化提供了一个新的途径。Beginning with for the feature of vector quantization and design method of the codebook, discusses the application of MatLab in vector quantization, proposes an example of vector quantization base on MatLab programming and presents the result, According to the further analysis of experimental results, the methods have achieved very good results, It also provides a new way for vector quantization.
