摘　　要：本文通过考察系统功能语法中的早期语法隐喻概念、语法隐喻概念的发展,以及系统功能语法隐喻观与认知隐喻理论之间的关系,论证了语法隐喻"既是一种形式变体又是一种意义变体"观点的合理性。研究发现,只强调形式变化的语法隐喻观不完全符合系统功能语法的基本原则,而无论是从语法隐喻新解的内容和特征,还是从系统功能语法隐喻观与认知隐喻理论的关系看,语法隐喻新解的提出有着必然性和合理性。This paper attempts to justify the new description of grammatical metaphor through the exploration of the early understanding of grammatical metaphor and its applications, and through the investigation of the relation between the systemic functional view and the cognitive view of metaphor. The study shows that the main emphasis of variation in form with the early concept of grammatical metaphor is not fully in accordance with the basic principle of systemic functional grammar, which entails the necessity of the proposal of the new concept. It further indicates that the new description of grammatical metaphor is more consistent with the basic principle of systemic functional grammar.
