摘　　要：本文从信息素质的概念及内涵入手,在分析当前读者信息素质和国内外发展态势的基础上,论述了公共图书馆导读工作的重要性,开展信息素质教育的优势,以及开展导读工作的形式、内容和方法,进而提出新形势下图书馆员应具备的业务素质。Through defining the term “information quality”, this paper gave an analysis of readers＇ information quality as it was today and also its developments home and abroad; the importance of public library orientation and the advantages of implementing information quality education were also illustrated here, together with the form, content and methods of library orientation. Furthermore, the paper made propositions about librarians＇ qualifications as needed in a new era.
