摘　　要：文章从《老子》的圣人观出发,探寻了现代质量管理中质量领导观的哲学思想根源。进而联系《老子》中"无为而治"与"不言之教"的哲学观点,对质量领导在进行质量授权、创建企业质量文化方面的作用进行了阐述,重新认识了八项质量管理原则中的"领导作用",论证了《老子》思想对现代质量管理学的指导意义。Firstly, this article discusses the theory of ＂sage＂ in Lao Tzu in order to probe the philosophical foundation for leadership of modern quality management. What＇s more, it combines the theory of ＂governing by actionless activity＂ and ＂education without preaching＂ in Lao Tzu which helps expound the function of leadership on authorization and quality culture construction with further cognizing the second principle ＂leadership＂ of＂ management principles＂, Accordingly, this article approves Lao Tzu theory ＇s direction meaning to modern quality management,
