摘 要:The fog of confusion caused by some literary historians (Paul Hoover as an example) of labeling contemporary poetry (poetry after World War II) as "postmodern poetry" is falsifying. The possible errors that these literary historians committed are largely due to their improper alignment of post structuralism and literature, the alignment of postmodernism as a social philosophy with literature. The attempt of encompassing contemporary poetry as "postmodern" not only cuts off the organic connection between modernism and contemporary literature but also denies other paradigms of modernism, which surely brings about the flourishing of contemporary poetry. What is more, the improper alignment of philosophy, sociology with literature will result in the mistaking location of literature beyond its own rubric.
