摘  要:提出了一种圆形电极结构,将其应用于倾斜电场液晶垂直取向(Patterned Vertical Alignment,PVA)模式TFT-LCD,称为圆形电极模式。用Expert LCD软件模拟了指向矢分布和对比度视角锥分布,并对模拟计算结果进行了分析。与传统的PVA模式相比,完全圆形电极模式视角显著扩大,且高对比度的视角扩大比例更大些,结论表明具有新的电极结构的显示器件具有更好的视角特性。A circular electrode structure was presented for Patterned Vertical Alignment(PVA) mode TFT-LCD. This paper simulated its director distributions and iso-contrast contour dependent on the viewing angle for two kinds of circular electrode structures by ExpertLCD software and analyzed the simulation results. The obtained results were compared with that of the conventional PVA mode. The viewing angle of completely circular electrode mode was significantly expanded and the proportion with high contrast ratio was larger. It showed that the viewing angle characteristics of the new electrode structure is better than that of PVA.
