摘　　要：当代中国的发展深切呼唤公民教育的勃兴。追溯和梳理中国公民教育的历史缘起及其发展脉络可以发现,只有进行公民教育,培养理性、积极、有责任感的现代高素质公民,才能促进当代中国的民主政治发展、社会主义市场经济体制的完善、公民社会的建立,推进中国现代化进程,实现中华民族的伟大复兴。The development of contemporary China is deeply calling for the vigorous growth of civil education. It could find by virtue of retrospecting and regulating the historical origin of China＇s civil education and its developmental thread of thought that only through the civil education to cultivate the rational, positive and responsible citizens with high modem qualities, can the development of contemporary China＇s democratic politics, the complete of the socialist market economic system, and the establishment of the civic society be facilitated, can China＇s modernization process be carded forward, and can the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation be realized.
