摘　　要：目前国际上具有重要参考价值的科技情报资料主要是以英文形式出现的,科技英语便是科技专业内容与英语信息载体高度结合的产物,它以表达科技专业概念、理论和事实为主要目的。科技英语的词汇、语法、句式结构等都有其区别于普通英语的特点。At present, science and technology information of most important reference value is written in English. EST--English for science and technology is a product of integration between science and technology con- tents and English information media. Its main purpose is to express science and technology concepts, theories and facts. The vocabulary, grammar and sentence structure of English for science and technology have different characteristics when compared to common English.
