摘　　要：以《道德经》为中国传统典籍之代表,以威利和许渊冲的《道德经》英译本为研究对象,从文体风格、语义内涵和文化意象三个方面对两个译本进行比较,探讨英译典籍中文化传译的保真问题。由此得出结论:典籍翻译的译者应在充分理解原文本的前提下,本着对源语文化负责的态度,力求在传递原文的书面意义和语言形式的同时,再现原文本的作品风格和文化内涵。The problems of culture delivery were discussed in the translation of the ancient classics. By comparing the English versions of Tao Te Ching by Arthur Waley and Xu Yuanchong, the difference was shown between the versions and the resource text in the stylistics, the semantics and the delivery of culture. It is concluded that translators should be responsible for the culture of the resource language and present the style and the cultural connotation as well as the denotation and surface structure in the target language.
